Hello!

My name is Aisa and I am a self taught jewelry designer who grew up in Camiguin known as the "Island Born of Fire" located somewhere south in the Philippine archipelago. I moved to New York City when I was 18 years of age to be reunited with my family, to finish my bachelors in nursing and to pursue a rewarding career in healthcare. Yes I am a registered nurse and a jewelry designer at the same time. Many of my friends asked me how am I managing my time between patient care and jewelry making? Well the answer to their query is simple and it's called Passion. When someone is really passionate about something, one's heart beats together with time  and time becomes more precious, it becomes an ally rather than one's nemesis.

Becoming a jewelry designer was purely coincidental and it all started on a cobalt blue chandelier earring. I was walking along Broadway with my Mom one day when we stumbled upon a small jewelry shop. They were selling fashion jewelries at deeply discounted prices and oh boy I totally had an oniomania moment. When I got home, that's when I thoroughly examined all my loot and found out that one of the earring was broken. It was a gorgeous piece that I wanted to fix it so bad. Thank God for YouTube! The moment I typed in "jewelry making" voila a whole new world just opened in front of my very eyes. Since that day I have discovered something spectacular about myself. I have awoken the artist within and a jewelry designer was born!

Last month I have attended the NY Fashion Week Benefit, a fashion exhibition sponsored by The Set NYC and Freedom Ladder showcasing my jewelry collection and during my interview I was asked about my inspirations. Well it swings freely in all directions - an interesting personality, an inspiring story, a beautiful season, New York fashion, a unique artistic work, nature's unfolding beauty, or even just a genuine smile. I love artistry and creativity. Most times I channel my emotions through jewelry making. I wholeheartedly embrace imagination. For me, jewelry making is a celebration of my talent, an exploration of epic ideas put into production and a connection with the artist within.

I favor happy colors and I love to play around with them when I am designing my jewelry pieces. Most of  my designs present a unique color combination of which I carefully put together. Like I always tell my buyers that I do not replicate my signature pieces but I am willing to create a similar design as long as it's not totally identical. I applaud originality and revel in the glamour of uniqueness. I want women to feel empowered and beautiful and celebrates who they are -  special and one of a kind just like the jewelries they are wearing.

In between jewelry making and saving lives, there is this beautiful cat I named Glitter (she thinks she own my bed)and there's also a magical world where ice and skates become one and the world's famous ice skating rink becomes my playground, it's another beautiful hobby of mine that ties with everything else.
